Drive Mentor ("we", "our", or "the app") is a driving theory test preparation app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Drive Mentor is an independent app. We are not affiliated with DVSA, CBR, or any government driving authority.

## 1. Data Stored on Your Device

Most app data is stored locally on your device using device storage. This includes:

- Selected country or region
- Test date and daily study goal
- Quiz, lesson, and mock exam progress
- Progress statistics and streaks
- Bookmarked questions
- Notification and app preferences

This data is not sent to our own servers. You can delete this local data by deleting the app from your device.

## 2. Analytics Data

We use PostHog to understand how the app is used and to improve the experience. Analytics data may include:

- Anonymous app/device identifier
- App events, such as quiz started, exam completed, lesson opened, or bookmark added
- Selected country or topic category
- Device type, operating system version, and app version

We do not send your name, email address, precise location, contacts, photos, or payment card details to PostHog.

PostHog is used only for product analytics. We do not use this data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

## 3. Purchase and Subscription Data

Drive Mentor offers an optional Pro subscription through Apple In-App Purchase.

Purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat may process information such as:

- Subscription product purchased
- Purchase status
- Renewal or expiration status
- Anonymous app user identifier

This is used to unlock Pro features and restore purchases.

## 4. What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

- Your name
- Your email address, unless you contact us directly
- Your precise location
- Your contacts
- Your photos
- Your actual driving licence status
- Payment card details

## 5. Notifications

If you enable reminders, the app may schedule local notifications on your device. Notification preferences are stored locally. You can disable notifications in the app settings or in your device settings.

## 6. Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable under UK GDPR or EU GDPR, we process data for the following reasons:

- To provide the app and its features
- To manage Pro subscription access
- To improve app performance and user experience
- To respond to support requests

## 7. Data Retention

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

Analytics and subscription data may be retained by PostHog, RevenueCat, and Apple according to their own retention policies.

If you are in the UK, EU, or another region with privacy rights, you may have the right to:

- Request access to personal data
- Request deletion of personal data
- Object to certain processing
- Request correction of inaccurate data
